Affordable health care is a human right.
Like many in our community, I did not grow up with a primary care physician. I was an urgent care kid. If there was a fever, my mother or grandparents would use an ice bath and other home remedies—or my favorite, was that my mom was convinced if you drink a Coke it cures all.
I hope to see in my lifetime the US have universal healthcare. The Oregon Health Plan is an incredible first step that should be expanded and built upon.
We need leaders who care about people and not money.
Our collective bargaining potential is mighty and should afford us greater access to healthcare that fits individual’s lifestyle and family structures.
I am dedicated to collaborating with strong healthcare advocates, listening to their concerns and providing a voice for them while in office. I am committed to finding creative solutions so everyone in Oregon—regardless of status—have access to affordable healthcare.
